Theme: My Experience Working In Or With China

Today’s entrepreneur has more access than at any time before, but also more challenges to overcome. China, being the world’s largest manufacturer, has grown to be a business destination for supplies, products, and services. 

 

“Africans on China” is a platform to elevate the global Black voice on China. Our October theme for human stories is the business experience working in or with China. We are seeking accounts that illustrate your perspective on working in or doing business with China and your experience balancing your product/service and different cultures. Here are a few questions to frame your story:

 

  • Why did you choose to work in China?

  • Why did you choose to source your product or service from China?

  • What was your experience working in China and with Chinese people?

  • What was your experience with scaling your business with your Chinese business partner?

  • How did you find your China connection?

  • What advice would you give yourself when you started this venture?

  • What is your perspective and experience on sourcing or manufacturing in China?

  • How has the pandemic affected your business?

  • How does working in or with China compare financially and socially with where you have done business before?

  • What is the one resource or tip you have found the most helpful for you in maneuvering your experience working in or with China?

 

If you are interested in submitting your story, here is what we need from you:

  • Written story must be between 500 – 1000 words

  • Written story must be in English

  • Include 2 – 3 photos of you in China or your business/product/service

  • Provide your name, email, and social handles

  • Submit by Wednesday, 30/ September/ 2020

  • Email story and photos to editor@africansonchina.com

 

Please be advised that if your story is published, your words, photos, and name will be displayed on our website and social media platforms. It may also be used later for promotional purposes. We retain the right to edit your story for publication purposes without changing your story or perspective.
